As a child I remember being asked by my mam ‘what do you want to be when you grow up’? and simply answering ‘a boss’. I didn’t realise it at the time but the reason I gave this answer is because even then, I had a huge desire to run my own business and offer first class customer service.
In 2018 I purchased a second hand tipper wagon with the intention of doing a few waste removal jobs here and there, on the occasional weekend. I didn’t think this was something that would allow me to achieve my childhood dream, however, after a few months I found I was busy every weekend and by reinvesting my earnings, I was able to upgrade that first tipper wagon by installing a cage on the back. This upgrade allowed me to offer a wider range of services and before long, I was in a position where I had to employ a small number of staff to help meet demand. B8 Waste Services was born.
